Our Terms and Conditions of Rental

 Our Golden Rule is that if you treat our equipment like it was your own (or better) we will treat you like Royalty. It is how we keep our fleet in such great condition! 

Reservations

Reservation Deposit*: To confirm your reservation we require a non-refundable $200. per week (or portion there of) reservation deposit.  Minimum reservations deposit is $200.

Damage Deposit:  We require a refundable $500. Damage deposit charged to your credit card in addition to full payment of fee’s at the time of renting. This deposit will be refunded to you within 4 days of the return of your trailer pending inspection. If your trailer is returned clean and  damage free, with no hint of smoking or a pet having been inside with propane and battery full you will receive a complete refund.

Payment: All rental fee’s and damage deposit are payable in full at the start of the rental period.

Cancellation Charges: * No refunds will be made under any circumstances on reservation deposits if cancellation is made.  The only exception to qualify for full or partial refund if is a trailer is rented late due to late return or a significant failure from the previous renter.

Early returns are charged for full reserved time period and are not eligible for any refund.

Insurance

Some coverage is usually available from your vehicles insurance policy or the credit card you use. Please contact your provider for details. We require proof of a minimum of $2,000,000 liability, $500 deductible collision and comprehensive including damage and theft on the value of our trailer ($8000.).

BC Residents: ICBC “Road-star” coverage will automatically cover our trailer for up to 22 days. Non road-star drivers can purchase additional insurance at ICBC for $10. per day.

Your personal contents are not covered for loss or theft. We recommend that you check with your home and vehicle insurer to ascertain that the correct insurance is in place.

Renter Responsibilities

Renters are responsible for:

• All damages regardless if they are accidental, caused by abuse or neglect or a third party during the period covered by the rental contract.
• Returning on time. High Season rentals are from 9 am Saturday morning to Friday at 6 pm.  All late rentals will be charged at a rate of $300. per day or portion of at $50. per hour without exception.
• Cleaning their trailer. Rental unit must be cleaned inside and out before return to avoid cleaning charges. Extra cleaning charge if necessary is $100. minimum. Smoking charges start at $300. 
• Checking all tire pressures, hitch hook-ups, electric brake operation / proper adjustment, closing / securing roof and all the operation of all exterior lights.
• For packing the trailer to ensure total weight is less than 2400 lbs, packing is spread evenly and does not shift during transfer.
• Ensuring a police report must be filed in all accidents in addition to contacting us at 604-219-7014.
• Propane tank and trailer battery must be returned fully charged or subject to charge.
• Preventing Pets and Smoking in the unit. It’s worth repeating! Not pets or smoking are allowed in our trailers.
• Renters must take a 45 minute orientation session before departing.

Restrictions

All rentals are restricted to renters aged 25 or older with a valid driver’s license that is not at a learner or new level.

Vancouver Tent Trailer Rental reserves the right to refuse rental to any party or individual.

Our Tent Trailers are restricted to paved roads only. They must not be used on gravel or dirt roads without our pre-approval.  Use in the US is permitted only with  prior written consent from Vancouver Tent Trailer Rental.

Pets and Smoking in our trailers is strictly forbidden and can result in a $300 cleaning charge.

All Repairs must be pre-approved by  Vancouver Tent Trailer Rental before the work is started.  Although we try to ensure that your Trailer is in top shape Vancouver Tent Trailer Rental is not responsible for any costs incurred due to trailer breakdown other than refund for the nights that the trailer has not been used.  

Cooking

Our Yuma tent trailers are not outfitted with range hoods. All of your cooking must be done using the exterior stove top set-up. By using the exterior stove you will avoid extra cleaning charges from smoke and cooking splatter on the interior drapes and windows.

Vancouver Tent Trailer Rental will be available for 24 hour emergency support. We will answer any phone message within 2 hours.

General Conditions

Vancouver Trent Trailer Rental, its owners and employees  except no responsibility for any personal injury incurred while operating this rental trailer. 

Every effort has been made to ensure that the information on emails and this web site is up to date and accurate. Rental unit descriptions and images may be slightly different than the unit you are assigned.

Prices are subject to change however your rates are frozen when reservation deposit is received. 

Vancouver Tent Trailer Rental is not responsible for any losses incurred by the renter due to accident, damage, stolen trailer or late return by another renter.
